Heidi Snell has recently rediscovered her childhood
enjoyment of playing in mud, and has now refined the fun with better
mud. Her current work explores color, form and nature-inspired imagery
on utilitarian stoneware and porcelain. Her aim is to render an
artistic creation inspired by wild things and wild places. After
over 25 years of conservation research in the Galapagos Islands,
Heidi now finds inspiration from living in and exploring New Mexico,
the entire Southwestern U.S. and places beyond.
